  Marxtrash's assorted headcanons

Exactly what it says on the title
* during the events of the crystal shards, 02 sent dark nebula to pop star while Kirby wasn't there. Meta knight proceeded to kick dark nebula's butt, sealed it in a chest, put the chest I. Dedede's castle and told nobody about it because meta knight is a poor communicator
* Sailor dee and Bandana dee are best friends
* Magolor met Marx while Marx was trying to get to space to commence his plan. Magolor offered Marx a ride to NOVA, and during the trip, Marx told magolor about his plan. Then, after getting his butt kicked by landia, magolor decided to use the same strategy as marx, because Kirby is gullible.
* Marx has a collection of jester hats.
* Necrodeus is very sensitive to light, and instead of going somewhere dark, he just destroys light sources because he is a grumpy unreasonable skeleton thing. also he's evil and evil doesn't like "reason" or "useing simple solutions"
* Claycia and elline are somewhere between best friends and girlfriends.

Hellooooo, everyone, it's good to be back on Meta Naito! Remember me? Of course y'all do; Fubaka was the one who told me the forums were back up and running in the first place. How is everyone?

  Kirby Emulation on 3DS
Posted by: chai - 02-22-2017, 07:48 PM - Forum: Other Ocean - Replies (2)

hi guys, long time since I have been here. I encountered a glitch within my game that halted me in my path and I have just recently been able to fix it! hooray! so development with resume again soon.
in the mean time I have been exploring the idea of homebrew and cfw on 3ds and thought how wonderful it would be to be able to play the classic kirby games on the go. it was also be a bit of a reintroduction of these games into my memory that I could take inspiration from for my game...
anyway, after a few days of downloading butt tons of files and keeping my 3ds from updating itself, I finally was able to homebrew my 3ds! what I have been able to do is install a few games that I am now able to play whenever I want-
Kirby's Dreamland
Kirby's Dreamland 2
Kirby's Dreamland 3 (via snes9x)
Kirby Superstar (via snes9x)
Kirby's Adventure
Nightmare in Dreamland
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror (which I bought a gba cart for recently Big Grin)
but yeah, I am very excited to run through these games one by one (idk about adventure and nightmare but we will see) and just reminisce in the nostalgia! wha do you guys think about homebrew? are there any other games I should try to get? other comments etc? let me know
bye bye!

Hello everyone! I'm Gigi I decided to join this forum today. Yay.
I'm not sure what else to say, other than I've used KRR in the past, I've been currently browsing r/Kirby and I've been working on a Kirby fan comic for more than six years now.
So yeah. See you all around, I guess. :P

  Ruminations on Kirby's Physiology
Posted by: Fubaka - 02-12-2017, 04:56 PM - Forum: Other Ocean - Replies (3)

What exactly is Kirby? How does he work? What can we say for certain about him, physiologically?

Let's go over some data to determine this, shall we? For the purpose of conciseness, I will only be using information from the main game series (as listed in the timeline thread). I will not be using any spin-offs, cameos, or the anime or manga series.

Naturally, if you have more evidence, or think any of my interpretations are wrong, please let me know in a response. This rumination will update with new information.

(full dissertation in the spoiler box below)

Well that's all I think there is to be said on the matter. Hopefully we are closer to understanding the physiology of Kirby than we were when we started.

Or you know, Kirby could just be an entirely imaginary dream being or something... Blush

  Kirby Popstar Panic RPG (DEMO)
Posted by: Fubaka - 02-09-2017, 07:04 PM - Forum: Fan Factory - No Replies

I came across a link to this game on r/Kirby.

It's incomplete, but is essentially a traditional style RPG featuring Kirby characters, and a soundtrack to go with it. The game was almost certainly made using one of those RPG maker tools, so take that as you will.

If you are into that sort of thing, follow this link to try it out. You can expect to play for roughly half an hour before getting to the end.

What are your favorite levels/areas in the Kirby series and why?
Posted by: Fubaka - 02-07-2017, 07:06 AM - Forum: Game Garden - Replies (2)

It can be any/all reasons, including look, level design, music, etc.

If I were to pick off the top of my head, they'd be the following:

Castle Lololo - Kirby's Dream Land: One of my favorite areas due to its unique layout, with numerous different paths to the goal. It is also home to the only room in the entire Kirby series that loops in on itself if you keep walking to the left or to the right.

Butter Building - Kirby's Adventure (Nightmare in Dream Land): I am always intrigued by the strange architecture of the castles in Dream Land, and the music here is classic. It's also one of those levels with a definite direction with the stages (up).

Cloudy Park - Dream Land 2: The music seals the deal for me here. I didn't have this game as a child, but hearing this music while I traverse the cloudtops makes me feel like I had.

Rock Star - Kirby 64: The strange music and stranger architecture on this desert world are quite appealing.

Nutty Noon - Return to Dream Land: Much like Butter Building earlier, it's the music, the architecture, and the ascension that keep me coming back here.

What are yours?
