Happy New Years everyone! This also marks the 4th Anniversary of Meta Naito! It is amazing how fast time flies when you are having fun. To celebrate this year I am bringing back the forums for Meta Naito. However, I will not be in charge of them this time around, Fubaka will be. Also instead of using our old contact forums on the website their is a board on the forums dedicated to such a thing. So through a post up there if you find anything astray and I will be sure to fix it. I may also ask for suggestions and opinions on that board as well, so don’t forget to stop by once in a while!
Also it seems that Kirby is celebrating New Years this year with some of his friends (and it seems he may have accidentally ate one!) As always keep checking back with the found official HAL twitter page for full details, because in a couple months Kirby will be 25 and we will be here to celebrate it!
I am little late, but Marry Christmas everyone! Yesterday on the twitter account they posted a little Merry Christmas image of Kirby. Not sure if it is just a little fan art from HAL or if it is hinting towards something bigger or not. However, it is comical to see King Dedede acting as Santa Claus delivering things to Kirby’s house while he is sleeping!
Also I should mention they are now selling two necklaces in celebration of Kirby’s 25th anniversary. One is of Kirby holding the star road and another of magolor. Both are running about $150 and will only be on sale for a short time. So if you want them (or at least take a look at them) take a look at their twitter page. Again it can be found here.
So the news is out! In Japan they will be having a couple different events to celebrate Kirby’s 25th Anniversary. First, and probably the biggest thing, is their will be a Kirby 25th Anniversary Orchestra Concert. Their will be two concerts, one in Tokyo in April and another in Osaka in June. Next they will be having a special Kirby Train event in Tokyo next week. It will contain a lot of Kirby merchandise and food.
Speaking of Kirby merchandise they are also selling a special edition Kirby watch. This watch will be going for around $250 dollars. They are also selling a Kirby Planet Robobot sound track CD for about $30. All of these things seem to currently be Japan only, however if they are coming to America I will keep you all posted. You can find more information here.
Just a follow up on the Kirby 25th anniversary. Sometime today their will be a broadcast in Japan revealing something... Not even a specific time was given. However, it should be within the next 24 hours and will probably be posted on their twitter account. I will post an update when more information becomes available.~Meta Naito
Just a little announcement, their is now a twitter account that is an official page for Kirby’s 25th Anniversary which is coming up in 2017. This has been confirmed to be official as a link to it can be found on the Japanese version of HAL’s website. Currently their is just a short gif that states "This is the begging of Kirby’s 25th Anniversary". However, I am sure they will have more information soon. You can check it out here.~Meta Naito
Hey everyone! It has been a long time sense I last posted an update. As some of you may noticed I maid a mess of the website for a while... Well I got most of it back up and working, well at least the game section. I have been working on a major update sense last August to make managing the site much easier. However, I have also had school, which has taken a majority of my time, and still will for the next couple weeks.
For now the games section is up and the home page is as well. A couple of the info pages are also working as well. Unfortunately the rest of the website is currently down, and I apologize for that as it may not be up until around Christmas at the soonest. The good news is that once everything is up and running again it should stay way and make it so that the site can be updated much faster than before.
Have a great holiday season!
Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates, I have been really busy with school, and will be for a while. However, I wanted to just say I am working on some stuff for the website, however it may be a while before it comes out. So be patient and know the website is not dead.
I also wanted to mention that last week in America a couple games came out for virtual console on the Wii U and the 3DS. On the Wii U you can know buy Kirby’s Epic Yarn for $19.99. They have also added Kirby’s Mass Attack on the Wii U as well for $9.99. And then on the new 3DS they have added Kirby’s Dream Course for $7.99. In addition to that they have had added a demo for Kirby Robobot if you have not had the chance to pick it up yet.
For now, sayonara!
Just a reminder to everyone that Kirby: Planet Robobot is now avalable in the US. So if you get a chance pick up a copy! Also this website is not dead, though the forums have gone under, and I have removed the link for them. Also I figured some people may have not seen it or would like the link for it so here is a link to the bingo board that was made for Kirby Super Star. KSS Bingo
As for the update I am working on, it is a big one that will not be out for a long while for two big reasons. First of all it is really big, and second of all the server the site is currently on does not support what I am doing. So when I get it finished and work out what to do with the server I will upload it. The upload will basically make it so that I can update the website with ease (aka without coding everything!) Which may lead to allowing others to help make content for the website. But we will see...
Until some future date!
Hey everyone, it has been a while, just a small announcment, there was a Nintendo Direct today in which a new Kirby game was announced! It is named Kirby Planet Robobot. I will leave a video to it below so you can all see the trailer. It will be coming out June 10th, 2016. I will be adding the pages on it over the next couple of weeks, so look forward to those!~Meta Naito
Happy Anniversary Meta Naito! It has been 3 years sense you started up and have gone through three different layouts and have had only one active owner at a time, and the fourth may not be much different. But you have down well. To celebrate I have made a video, which will be posted below and updated the site slightly, most notably I added a link to the forums in the main menu. Anyway, Enjoy!~Meta Naito
Just a short news update. I have got an email reminding me the Kirby: Canvas Curse (Power Paintbrush) and Kirby: Mass Attack have both been released in the PAL regions for the Wii U’s eShop. So if you missed out on the chance, or want a good simple game to play while snuggled up to the fire this Christmas season this may be your chance! They are both being sold at about £9 each ($10).
Also a small unofficial update to the website. MetaNaito will be getting forums at the beginning of next year. However, it is hard to test and find stuff for this alone, so if you are interested feel free to check out the forms at forums.metanaito.net. (Note: They are no longer available.) Just keep in mind that post may or may not get deleted depending on the updates.
Just a small piece of news. Earlier today while I was looking around on HAL Labs website I came across some interesting news on Kirby. Last Sunday (November 29th) in Japan they released a Kirby Card game named 星のカービィ カービィのコピとる! (Or in English, Kirby Take a Copy Ability!) This game is a 1 to 6 player game. The game features three modes. The first being solo were you play on your own to defeat King Dedede. The second is standard which is 2 to 4, and the last is simplified which supports up to 6.
The basics of the game is that there are different levels of Kirby, it seems that standard Kirby is 3. If he defeats an enemy he can take a power which makes him more powerful. For example sword is level 7 and Bomb is level 3. There are also different abilities that are matched with each of the powers. For example sword can attack up to three people in one turn instead of just one. The game also features many well-known bosses such as Wispy Woods who is level 6, Kracko which is level 7, and King Dedede who is level 8.
The method of winning a battle is simple, if Kirby’s level is greater or equal to the enemies, he wins. If he is less than the enemy’s level he loses. Currently I am not quite sure about what happens if Kirby loses or how to win. However, when you defeat enemies you seem to obtain points equal to that of the enemy you defeated.
That is all I have! Please came in mind that this information may or may not be completely accurate as I do not have the game. I am looking at getting it, however currently there is no clear way to get it shipped to America for a reasonable price. Anyway, have a great week!
