Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates, I have been really busy with school, and will be for a while. However, I wanted to just say I am working on some stuff for the website, however it may be a while before it comes out. So be patient and know the website is not dead.
I also wanted to mention that last week in America a couple games came out for virtual console on the Wii U and the 3DS. On the Wii U you can know buy Kirby's Epic Yarn for $19.99. They have also added Kirby's Mass Attack on the Wii U as well for $9.99. And then on the new 3DS they have added Kirby's Dream Course for $7.99. In addition to that they have had added a demo for Kirby Robobot if you have not had the chance to pick it up yet.
For now, sayonara!~Meta Naito
Just a reminder to everyone that Kirby: Planet Robobot is now avabile in the US. So if you get a chance pick up a copy! Also this website is not dead, though the forums have gone under, and I have removed the link for them. Also I figured some people may have not seen it or would like the link for it so here is a link to the bingo board that was made for Kirby Super Star. KSS Bingo
As for the update I am working on, it is a big one that will not be out for a long while for two big reasons. First of all it is really big, and second of all the server the site is currently on does not support what I am doing. So when I get it finished and work out what to do with the server I will upload it. The upload will basically make it so that I can update the website with ease (aka without coding everything!) Which may lead to allowing others to help make content for the website. But we will see...
Until some future date!~Meta Naito
Hey everyone, it has been a while, just a small announcment, there was a Nintendo Direct today in which a new Kirby game was announced! It is named Kirby Planet Robobot. I will leave a video to it below so you can all see the trailer. It will be coming out June 10th, 2016. I will be adding the pages on it over the next couple of weeks, so look forward to those!~Meta Naito
Happy Anniversary Meta Naito! It has been 3 years sense you started up and have gone through three different layouts and have had only one active owner at a time, and the fourth may not be much different. But you have down well. To celebrate I have made a video, which will be posted below and updated the site slightly, most notably I added a link to the forums in the main menu. Anyway, Enjoy!~Meta Naito
Just a short news update. I have got an email reminding me the Kirby: Canvas Curse (Power Paintbrush) and Kirby: Mass Attack have both been released in the PAL regions for the Wii U's eShop. So if you missed out on the chance, or want a good simple game to play while snuggled up to the fire this Christmas season this may be your chance! They are both being sold at about £9 each ($10).
Also a small unofficial update to the website. MetaNaito will be getting forums at the beginning of next year. However, it is hard to test and find stuff for this alone, so if you are interested feel free to check out the forms at forums.metanaito.net. Just keep in mind that post may or may not get deleted depending on the updates.~Meta Naito
Just a small piece of news. Earlier today while I was looking around on HAL Labs website I came across some interesting news on Kirby. Last Sunday (November 29th) in Japan they released a Kirby Card game named 星のカービィ カービィのコピとる! (Or in English, Kirby Take a Copy Ability!) This game is a 1 to 6 player game. The game features three modes. The first being solo were you play on your own to defeat King Dedede. The second is standard which is 2 to 4, and the last is simplified which supports up to 6.
The basics of the game is that there are different levels of Kirby, it seems that standard Kirby is 3. If he defeats an enemy he can take a power which makes him more powerful. For example sword is level 7 and Bomb is level 3. There are also different abilities that are matched with each of the powers. For example sword can attack up to three people in one turn instead of just one. The game also features many well-known bosses such as Wispy Woods who is level 6, Kracko which is level 7, and King Dedede who is level 8.
The method of winning a battle is simple, if Kirby's level is greater or equal to the enemies, he wins. If he is less than the enemy’s level he loses. Currently I am not quite sure about what happens if Kirby loses or how to win. However, when you defeat enemies you seem to obtain points equal to that of the enemy you defeated.
That is all I have! Please came in mind that this information may or may not be completely accurate as I do not have the game. I am looking at getting it, however currently there is no clear way to get it shipped to America for a reasonable price. Anyway, have a great week!~Meta Naito
After 3 months of no updates I am bringing the big one! Sorry about not speaking much over the past few months, but I have been busy with college and this project! So I hope you all enjoy the new layout. Also I would give a big thanks to XerxesTexasToast who made the new banner for the website!
Without that I would like to make a minor note, I have come to understand that most cannot capture gameplay footage or have time to make guides. So I have decided I will be taking care of all that, it may take a while, but slowly but surely I will get this site somewhere better than it is today. That being said, I am really bad at art. So if anyone would like to make new backgrounds or banners for the website, please go ahead and do so! Also any contributions to the Fan Art section or the Articles section is always appreciated!
Next up, I got a King Dedede amiibo from Japan! I am impressed how solid he is! I am sure he is going to “Clobber that their Kirby!” Well hopefully not… I like that their Kirby…
I also have updated a few pages with this great and wonderful update, in particularly the Triple Deluxe Key Chain list, and the Squeak Squad Treasures guide. These pages should function better and be more helpful.
Last of all I have added a donation page to the website. The website does not need donations to survive. However, none the less they are appreciated and will go to help support the website and my college life of playing Kirby games and Wii U. So feel free to check it out.
Well that about covers it! I hope you all enjoy and have a great Thanksgiving!
Okay the Contact Us form is fixed now, so feel free to use it! I would love any help anyone can give to the website!
Thank you all for everything!~Meta Naito
Just a small update! I posted a few days ago that if anyone was interested in helping out on the website to contact me, however the contact us page, mail form is broken... So I will be fixing that for the next little while, so for now, please email me at the address below! (Note: Once the mail form is fixed I will take down the address from this page, for security reasons.)
Thank you all for your patience and support!~Meta Naito
Well as everyone knows I am now back. I have been in Japan the past two years helping many people come unto Christ and recieve His gospel. That took all my time up. Now that I am back, I will be in college, which means I will be a lot more busy than I have been before. As you saw, Waddle Dee was unable able to update much do to being in college, and I figure it will be much the same with me.
So I have come to a conclusion that I need all of your help. In the past I have made the website exclusively for me and Waddle Dee to update, but from now on I would like to open it up to you all. So from this point on how I would like to run the website: I will update the website, and all of its coding, I will also be on the look out for any new information on Kirby (I am sure knowing Japanese will help!). What any of you can do to help is, add new content to this site; guides, pictures, info, anything that could go in any of the pages as well as even requesting an idea for a new page.
For those of you who want to contribute, you will need to go to the contact page, select "other" and send a message to me saying that you want/can contribute to the site and what can be contricuted. (Your email is required!) I will then send you an email giving you feedback. I will expect contributions from anyone to be clear, and clean of vulgar. I also expect images to be taken off of a capture card (Here is a example) outside of DS and 3DS games.
So if you would like to help out send me a email and thank you for your cooperation and support!~Meta Naito
P.S. I am working on a new site design, stay tuned!
Meta Naito Returns...
Hey guys! Sorry about disappearing for a while; I wasn't able to access my uploading software for a while, and then our URL stopped working! We've got things fixed now, so here I am with another update! I've filled in the holes for the Sun Stone and Keychain strategy guides, so that should help anyone still working on Triple Deluxe! I've also added pictures of all the keychains (except 3 that I myself haven't gotten yet) on the Keychains page, all of which can be clicked and made bigger!
Secondly, I've added some more information on the enemies, all the way to the P's. (And the list is now fully comprehensive.)
Finally, I have an announcement much like Meta Naito's almost two years ago. I also belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS/Mormon), and have also chosen to go on a mission to share what my church believes. I have been called to Washington D.C. and will be gone for 18 months. Luckily I leave only a couple months before Meta Naito gets back, so he will be here updating before you know it! And of course, the site will stick around for anyone to see the guides, the articles, the game information, and everything in between! So long until January 2017!
(Oh yeah, there's also another secret page.)~Waddle Dee
I would like to thank Keeby, who let me know about a couple things I needed to fix on the site. First of all, the videos in The History of Kirby section of Kirby's Dream Collection are generic gameplay videos, not the official trailers or commercials. Second of all, he mentioned that there were too many spoilers in the Kirby's Dream Land page, so I've made it a bit more vague.
Second of all, I hadn't done much up to this point with the Rainbow Curse page, which is especially a problem since it was recently released in North America. Well, you'll now find a full description and a complete menu! None of the pages in the menu are filled out yet, of course, but they exist!~Waddle Dee
I've started to add descriptions to the enemies! I got about through the M's, though I need to update the list I've been working on. A lot of the enemies have descriptions about the games they are in, the attacks they use, and the abilities they have, if they ever had an ability. More descriptions will come over time!
I'd like to remind you all: feel free to give us any feedback you have! (Suggestions, questions, comments, etc.) Just use the Contact Us page! Thanks!~Waddle Dee
It's that time of year again! Happy 2nd anniversary Metanaito! Since Meta Naito himself will still be in Japan until this August, he was not able to make a video, but that doesn't mean we can't celebrate! As you can see, I have made a header full of Kirbys to mark this second year of our Kirby Fan Site!
Meta Naito also sent me a couple things for the holidays, and I've included the pictures below. There are two Triple Deluxe keychains and the original Kirby's Dream Land 2 in Japanese! (You can click them to make them bigger.) And don't forget to look at the new spotlight!
Happy New Year!
Sorry it's been a couple months, but I'm here to announce that strategy guides for both Sun Stones and Keychains are nearly complete! The current guides can be found from the Triple Deluxe page, or from the links on this post. (They are only nearly complete because there are a few holes where I lost what I had written about them--they'll be filled soon!)~Waddle Dee
The Fan Art page has been updated so that it now has a section for videos. (The video that was previously on the Art page has moved there.) There is also a second fan fiction in that section, written by me. Again, if any of you have fan art, fiction, video, or music you would like to share, please tell us about it via the Contact Us page and if we approve of it, we'll put it on the site!
Secondly, as of August 7th, Meta Naito has completed one year of his mission! Congratulations Meta Naito! And speaking of him, he sent a few more pictures of candy, and even one of a sign with Kirby on it! All of the pictures are in the "Meta Naito's Snack Findings" article. (Even the sign.)
I also finally managed to get Triple Deluxe, so expect the beginnings of guides to show up pretty soon! I've started writing down both Sun Stone and Keychain strategies, so know that they are already in the works! And speaking of Triple Deluxe, the header and the characters are now Triple Deluxe style! (Meta Knight is not in it except as a keychain, which is why he looks different.)
(Also, the Squeak Squad and Amazing Mirror enemy pages have a few pictures!)~Waddle Dee
